Moving files from startup folders used by Excelĭepending on what’s found by the scenario on your device, some of these troubleshooting steps may require you to manually reset your add-in configuration and move files back into startup folders. Am more than happy to learn how to do these natively and quickly within Keynote if you can share. The Excel Crash Troubleshooter scenario automates safe mode troubleshooting which includes the following: Perhaps there is a way to do these things that I and my colleagues don't know how or haven't figured out. It may sound like just additional 4 or 5 steps, but it seriously slows down the process when you're outputting 200 page decks and need to do this about 100 times for different images while rushing to meet a deadline.Įdit: I and the team I work with have been doing this kind of documentation using powerpoint since 2003 and before that on Freelance Graphics (on OS/2 of all platforms) since mid 90's. There are other things as well that keynote just cannot do as quickly as powerpoint, or cannot do at all, like edit individual pixels.Īnd this, I am comparing the latest Keynote against a very old 2011 version of ppt for mac. In Powerpoint, I paste the icon onto the page, double click it, choose recolor from the menu, choose white and that's it. the put this image back into Keynote to use.use the histogram to invert (a few clicks here),.In Keynote, I can't figure out how to change it to white. Say I want to use identical icons for print but in black and white so I google "print icon png transparent", and it appears in black. I'm unable to quickly switch colors of icons in png format in keynote, amongst other things. So I would love to hear more on new features of MS Word. So, I am all in to buy a lifetime version of their product, but subscription. Oh, yes I forgot - they've added new clipart, search for function (because UI is so intuitive). But guyz from MS can't even add dictionaries. In all fairness I have to say Adobe at least has added some AI bells and whistles (but no core changes). They're like adobe with PS stuck with 8 bit selections since the product's MVP.

Feature-wise ms office's can offer almost the same what Pages, Numbers, Keynote can but for $$$ and in another format.MS wants our money every month for the functionality that in general hasn't changed globally for how many? Decade at least?New features like they haven't "invented" medical or other special terminology dictionaries since forever (i mean normally populated dictionaries not those crippled versions like it knows couple words like aspirin). >I think office 365 is not a bad option as you will get all of the new feature all the time and it includes one drive storage. And I would likely use this for the next 12 years, just as I did MS Office 2011 when I got it with my MBP. I would opt for this only if nothing else fits. I looked at Office 2021 and it is $149 one time price. I am trying to avoid going to Office 365 as I don't want to get caught in a perpetual payment scheme. I cannot create the kind of sophisticated consulting decks in Keynote that I normally create with Powerpoint. I can't figure out how to do the stuff that I am able to do in MS Office. What's the best alternative to MS Office that provides similar functions for Powerpoint, Word and Excel? File compatibility is extremely important as I have a lot of files created on Office 2011 that I still need to open and edit, in particular Powerpoint. I recently bought a Mac Mini M2 and am looking for an office suite to run on this new machine. Since I got my MBP in 2012, I've been using MS Office 2011.
